We loved Magens Valley Inn! Visited: March 2008

If you're looking for a private little piece of paradise with top notch service, consider staying at MVI. Steve and Leslie are the hosts, and they make the comfort and enjoyment of your stay a top priority.

The downstairs apartment is a private retreat all its own, with a completely equipped kitchen and beautiful decor throughout. The location is convenient to gorgeous Magens Bay, the town, and the St. John ferry - which worked out great for us.

Steve's cooking is unbelievable, from breakfast to dinner on the deck, everything is fresh and delicious! Steve and Leslie are also very helpful with recommending things to do around the island, and are all around just great people.

My fiance and I stayed here in March, and it was the perfect romantic getaway. There was lots of privacy, and we're looking forward to coming back to this fabulous bed and breakfast!

It was amazing - simply the best! Visited: July 2007

Steve and Leslie obviously spared no expense in making the Magen's Valley Inn one of the most comfortable, relaxing and beautiful places to stay on St. Thomas, if not the entire Caribbean.

Their desire to accommodate is only surpassed by Steve's extraordinary culinary cuisine! It was easily some of the best food I've ever had the joy of eating!

There is no question that we will be returning in the near future, if not only for a vacation, but for the best service that can be provided. And of course, to sit back and relax with our hosts Steve and Leslie, whom we now have the privilege to call our friends.

We celebrated our first wedding anniversary here, and Magens Valley Inn was the most perfect place to do so.

It was a perfect getaway. They offered personalized care and attention; meaningful and positive conversation; and delicious, healthy and attractive meals. It had a well kept and clean fresh atmosphere.

Words just can't explain. When you experience it, you will truly understand. We will be back!

We'll be seeing Steve and Leslie again for our next vacation to St. Thomas! Visited: May 2007

As an executive travel consultant, I can honestly say that Magens Valley Inn truly deserves a five-star rating.

My husband and I booked the week of 5/2/-7 thru 5/8/07, and we were totally pleased with our very private guest suite overlooking Magens Bay.

Our suite was perfectly furnished, spotless, spacious and so very warm and comfortable. Steve and Leslie were so wonderful and accommodating. They were always there to help with dinner reservations, directions and recommendations.

We had the most relaxing vacation ever. As a travel consultant, I've had the opportunity to stay at many wonderful properties, and Magens Valley Inn goes to the top of my list.

I totally agree with the reviews - this place is fabulous! Visited: December 2006

Everything wonderful that the reviewers have written was true - and then some. The place and price were great, the food was even better, and the location and proximity to everything was ideal.

Also, we had a kinship with our hosts that if we lived in the area, we could become good friends. What more could you ask for?

We didn't do the dinner option, but next time we will. We also didn't rent a car, but in hindsight we should have. Our hosts, however, were gracious to help us out.

In addition, check out their library of books in your room. I discovered one that I had to get my hands on once I got back home! All these special touches makes for a special time.

We hope to be regulars at the Magens Valley Inn, unless these rave reviews result in it being booked solid and we can't get in! Thus, the downside of a gem becoming discovered.

Thanks Steve and Leslie for making this, as my husband tells everyone, "The best vacation we've had so far!"

Oh-h-h-h, the food! Visited: December 2006

We had stumbled upon Magens Valley Inn somewhat by luck. Our friends were staying in the area at their timeshare, and we wanted to be in close proximity. The Inn fell into that category. What we didn't expect was the beautiful little piece of paradise we found here!

They had everything from a full-modern kitchen and a private screened-in porch overlooking the bay, to private deck breakfasts and a hammock strung between the apartment and a palm tree. It was all facing the bay. Couple this with two of the most pleasant and accommodating hosts, in Steve and Leslie, and you have your little heaven.

But wait! That was not even the best part! Oh-h-h, the food! Steve surprised us every morning with some new gourmet a breakfast surprise that surpassed any B & B we're likely to find. But if you really want to test Steve's prowess, plan a dinner on the deck. We did, and we included four of our friends to the multi-course culinary delight. It was melt-in-your-mouth good!

These clean accommodations with extras, in a great location, with accommodating hosts and great food are hard to beat!

This was a great place, with great hosts and great food! Visited: November 2006

Magens Valley Inn is a gem on St. Thomas. We live on the island about five minutes from Magens Valley Inn. Too many visitors this month caused us to find a place that we could "get away" on our own island. It was such a retreat for us...we were very pleasantly surprised.

Steve and Leslie have thought of everything - the snorkel gear, the beach towels, books about the island, and much more. Also, having a full kitchen was wonderful since going out to eat for every meal can get expensive on St. Thomas.

I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for something quieter and more of an island experience. We would stay here over the hotels/resorts on the island any day.

Also, highly recommend the dinner option. It was one of the best meals we have had on St. Thomas, and it was a memorable night for us.

This is a great way to experience St. Thomas. Visited: October 2006

We chose Magens Valley Inn for our honeymoon, and could not have been more pleased with our stay. Steve and Leslie exceeded our expectations with their hospitality (dinners and breakfasts), their patience (giving us directions all over the place), and their recommendations (we found out about several outstanding restaurants that were not in our guidebook).

The Inn is best understood as a private apartment on the bottom level of Steve and Leslie's house. Privacy and noise were never an issue. Also, the view from the patio was breathtaking.

For us, this was a great way to experience St. Thomas. Whether you're looking for a romantic place to get away; or a simple, peaceful retreat, we highly recommend Magens Valley Inn. Having been there once, we wouldn't think of staying anywhere else on St. Thomas.

It was absolutely gorgeous - you will want to stay forever! Visited: May 2006

This was an adorable, private space with all the comforts of home. They had beautifully dynamic grounds with a spectacular view of Magen’s Bay! I cannot put the sunsets into words.

They had a strategic central position on the island, minutes away from the most beautiful beach I’ve ever seen and great access to everything else as well.

Also, we could not have asked for friendlier or more gracious hosts. Steve and Leslie could not have done more to make our vacation top notch. Their advice on restaurants, activities and directions was invaluable. I highly recommend that you take the option dinners on the deck upstairs. That man can cook!

I was completely blown away. I would recommend this place to anyone, and I definitely plan on visiting again!

I visited St. Thomas in August 2007, and stayed at Magens Valley Inn. Our stay was simply amazing.

We woke up each morning to a wonderful breakfast catered our preference. Steve, our host, was very helpful with suggestions on what to see and do on the island, and his door was always open.

The suite was very clean, and we found everything we needed.
I wasn't to keen on spending my time in a resort, and I wanted to experience more of the island. By staying at Magens Inn, we received a discount on our car rental and we were able to enjoy our visit to the fullest.

I highly recommend you stay at the Magens Valley Inn. Large resorts and hotels just don't compare!
