Captain's Walk is in reality everything it purports to be online. When you enter the front door, you immediately look straight out through the back of the property and see the harbor. It stops you in your tracks.
The rooms are spacious and well appointed. There were seven of us, and the common areas accommodated us very well while our private quarters were just that - private.
Although there are no images of the kitchen on the web site, believe me when I say it is amazing. It lacks nothing. When you open a drawer to look for something, it is there.
The pool area is wonderful, the lower deck perfect for an afternoon card game.
The location was good for us. We spent a lot of time in Red Hook as well as shopping in town. Grocery stores were close. There were great restaurants nearby.
We are planning our next visit to St. Thomas and hoping we can call Captain's Walk our home again. |

Our stay was lovely. We were greeted at the airport and taken to our villa upon arrival.
The villa was complete with everything we needed, and the view was absolutely spectacular! Also, the location was great. It was immaculate, organized and just simply beautiful. The pool was very enjoyable as well. |

This house was perfect from scenery to location to everything.
You could watch the rain clouds in town and have sun from the deck.
You would love the pool and the BBQ from the deck. You never wanted or had to leave. The house was just as it seemed on the web except better. There was a master bedroom on the ground level with the sliding glass doors. There were three roomy bedrooms on the pool level. If it rains you would never get wet.
You have stairs from two lower levels to the main floor. The house even offered a washer and dryer for your use. The house made me think I was home and I wanted to keep it clean (no work was required for this).
It was located near stores, even their version of Costco/BJ/Sams. It was inexpensive for drinks, smokes, food and just fun. You could go down the hill and see the cruise ships. You could see the ships coming and going from the deck and see a view that most people would dream about.
Take a boat ride to St. John for the day, it was less than $10.00 round trip. It was just a very relaxing vacation. |
