Notice the dates on the good reviews! Visited: February 2008

You will notice that the dates for the good reviews end in 2004. The following year is when Festiva purchaced the Atrium. Since then, the quality of the resort has fallen as the fees and charges to the lease-holders and other customers have risen. Any coincidence?

There is no place better than the Atrium Resort. Visited: August 2004

We purchased a two-bedroom several years ago. The AC, kitchen appliances and plumbing all work well. The ocean view is tremendous.

Also, activities at the Indiana Jones bar and pool are excellent. The staff is friendly and efficient, and many day trips to other island are easy to arrange.

The island itself is safe with a higher standard of living than in a lot of islands. It also has probably the best dining with plenty of night life.

The Atrium is truly Paradise come true. Visited: September 2003

We have visited St. Maarten many times and are so lucky to have purchased at the Atrium five years ago.

The view is to die for, and the restaurant and beach bar are great. And the shopping on the island is something I anticipate every year. The staff at the Atrium is always friendly and willing to help. They make us feel like this is home away from home. In addition, the establishment is well run and is constantly being updated.

I am looking forward to my next vacation at the Atrium in September.

Our stay was a good one. Visited: July 2003

My husband and I stayed at the Atrium for a week. We enjoyed it very much. The location was great. It was not far from Phillipsburg and Marigot.

The one-bedroom was very clean and had all the amenties in the kitchen . My one complaint was that the TVs were too small. My husband likes to watch TV. I know you are saying "he is on vacation", but watching TV is his vacation too!

The restaurant and bar were very nice. They had several gatherings during the week, raffling off tee shirts, and things.
We are going back again. I hope next year if we can.

The Atrium is a first-class beach resort condominium. It's beautifully located and comes with an oustanding view. Also, the staff is outstanding and the rooms are meticulously clean and well kept.

It is a true tropical paradise vacation spot with fine dining and abundant activities for the whole family.

An exceptional resort. Visited: March 2002

After 6 years of going to this property i thought i would like to share some information with those that like it simple and as inexpensive ( no suprises) as it can be.
We are Canadian so with the money exchange we find travel very expensive at this time, we search the web for reasonable air fair and check all the discounts available on the Island, saying all this was to set you up for the nuts and bolts of this vacation spot, first of all let me say that the Atrium is the best suprise of all,it is well maintained and run like a european hotel but with a downhome The prices were competitive, but the service and follow up were exceptional. The beach and view at night was out of a story book.

Most of the restaurants on the island were from heaven, and the choices are all yours. But you can cut corners and save as we did, because each apartment room had all the kitchen facilities you would have at home (and in our case - better).

The lagoon view and the ocean view were both are spectacular (night or day). And travel on the island was very inexpensive - if you use the transit system.

The shopping in Phillipsburg was to die for, and St. Marten is the only island left that is totally duty-free and no taxes. My wife made a jewlery purchase that was less than $500 US dollars. When we had it appraised in Canada, it was $950 US or $1,470.00 Canadian.

Meals were reasonable everywhere on the island, but a trip to Grand Case was the best. Eight people eat like vikings for less than $80 US (including beer and mixed drinks).

Around the Atrium the choices were many, there was a theater, a bakery, a coffee shop, boat rentals, and car rentals. The airport was right across the bay, yet it wasn't an issue.

My second home Visited: March 2001

St. Maarten is a wonderful surprise. By surprise we are stating what you see in the brochure is exactly what you get when you get there, and more. The most wonderful news is that the island is a shoppers’ heaven—no tax, no duty. It’s the only island in the Caribbean that still has this most wonderful perk.

In my opinion the Atrium resort is the finest place for the money. We are Canadians and the use of many different currencies is a godsend. The French Franc and the Dutch Guilder are a better exchange for us, and the American dollar is as strong there as anyplace else.

By shopping on the web for your rental car, you can save yourself a ton of money (remember to ask for your discount slips when talking to any car rental place, but as we found out the bus service is a safe and inexpensive way to get all over the island.)

We were very fortunate to have stayed at the Atrium Resort because their staff is the most professional we have ever encountered. Ask for Lionel; if he treats you just half as good as he did us, you will think he was a family member.

The best on the island! Visited: August 2000

After staying at a number of hotels on the island over a period of 5 years, we have settled in at the Atrium. The Atrium offers superb service and quality amenities. It is centrally located in one of the best island hubs, Simpson Bay. If you miss this location you have not had a complete stay on St. Martin.

A place for undisturbed rest Visited: March 2000
Posted by mgangnonsr
My wife and I, plus 12 of our best friends in the world, travel each year to this wonderful island for one week of smooth, undisturbed rest.

The atrium has a beach bar that comes out of an old movie, it's called Tom's beach bar. The drinks are a fair price, the food is fast and great, but the ambience is a "once in a life time" experience. Tom and his lovely wife are as sweet as can be.

If you stay at the Atrium, you can crawl home like we do every night with no fear.

The best buy in the islands. Visited: November 1999

The party for the World Sailing Regatta is held at Simpson’s Bay; it is the party of all parties. When you stay at the Atrium it located right on the beach 50 ft away from the hotel's beach entrance. That night, (March the 10th) all of the best island music that has ever been produced will be played for thousands of people. The people of St. Maarten are still the most sincere and kind of any place in the islands. So far this year they have not had any storms and the place is polished and ready for your inspection. I have been to many islands and tasted a lot of fine cuisine, but none can compare to the marvelous on both the French side or the Dutch side of the Island. Plus, everything is so close. If you want any more information please contact me anytime.
