Taniko Villa, St. Barts traveler review

I'd rather not let anyone know about Taniko Villa. Visited: November 2008
Posted by canadajan
We would prefer to keep this place a secret, and not let anyone know about it! The villa was amazing, and our stay in St. Barts was incredible.

I've traveled the world, and it doesn't get much better than this. The accommodation was perfect for our family.

Make sure you get to the fish market early (around 7) to get your dinner for the evening. It's across from the pharmacy in Gustavia.

If you rent this villa, do us all a favor and don't let anyone else know how perfect it is!

A St. Barts travel review

We enjoyed our day trip to St. Barts from St. Martin.
Posted by jbryarly
We took a boat out of Oyster Bay to St. Barts. If you're staying more than a couple days in St. Martin, I highly recommend boating or flying over to St. Barts.

We relaxed on St. Jean beach in St. Barts and ate in town. It was a beautiful little island.

Byzance Villa, St. Barts traveler review

It was very private and clean with an excellent view. Visited: July 2008

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this beautiful three-building villa.

Although there are other villas close by, it is located at the end of a road which affords amazing privacy, and eliminates any traffic other than the pool tech, gardener, and cleaning personnel. They were are all very friendly and accommodating to minimize disruptions.

We believe this particular villa had to have the most spectacular view anywhere on the island with multi-level decks each with overlook areas and outfitted with lounge chairs.

The pool was clean and well maintained. The decks did have a couple of areas where they needed to be nailed down again, but were otherwise in good condition.

The kitchen was clean and well stocked with tools and dishes, as well as some basic food supplies (condiments and other things). The baths could use a bit of updating, but were clean and stocked well with towels, linens, soap, shampoo, a hair dryer, and tissue.

A wonderful wall of books to borrow for reading were available in the main bedroom. Wireless and phone service was available at no extra charge.

It was perhaps a bit pricy, but an extremely enjoyable and relaxing time.

Arc en Ciel Villa, St. Barts traveler review

This was a cute and funky villa. Visited: February 2007
Posted by islandmom
Eight couples stayed here in 2007. It was great, really nice for our needs. We really enjoyed the cute and funky decor! There are bright colors, it had a nice layout, and there were huge tikis in each bedroom!

One bedroom was near the driveway; and the living area and other bedrooms were down the slope. The views were pretty from every room. The other three bedrooms, living area and pool were all pretty much on the same level. There was a great pool and a wonderful hot tub. Most people would really love it here.

Be aware - there are lots of steps.

Sud Ouest Villa, St. Barts traveler review

What a great place!

My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon in the fall of 2007. It was perfect for the two us! It was such a great value, too!

It was so close to everything. The pool was awesome with absolutely amazing views and gorgeous sunsets! It was not fancy, but the location and amenities were great.

If you are looking for a private pool and amazing views at a reasonable price, this is it!

La Banane, St. Barts traveler review

This is the perfect place to stay. Visited: July 2006

We had a wonderful time at this charming hotel.

All of the staff were helpful, thoughtful, and pleasant. In particular, Sandrine and Laurent, who met us at the airport. By the time we left St. Barth, we felt we were leaving friends. They all provided much of the "charm" at this "Hotel de Charme". The team was an exceptional asset to this business.

We will have fond memories of our stay at La Banane for a long time and hope to be able to come back again soon.

Royal Palm Villa, St. Barts traveler review

The Royal Palm Villa was nice. Visited: April 2007

This was a beautiful villa with an excellent location in Vitet. The ocean views were breathtaking. Also, the decor of the villa was very nice, clean and new.

The villa offered 110 volt and 220 volt plugs, wireless internet and free phone calls to the US.

The location was ten minutes from most beaches, with the town of L'Orient and its beach the closest. The pool was very nice, also.

St. Barth was generally very clean, and the beaches were pristine. In April, the beaches were not crowded at all - and the water was great.

It was fantastic! Visited: March 2007

We could not have been happier anywhere else! This villa was in pristine condition with the most breathtaking views of the ocean and cove you could imagine.

The bed faced a huge window that was perfectly centered for the view. Everything was top of the line and well thought out. It was at the end of a cul de sac and down the side of hill, so it was ultra private.

There was a beautiful deck with lounge chairs, and a plunging pool right there - which made us force ourselves to leave and visit the beautiful beaches.

There was also a very popular restaurant/night club within walking distance - which is nice if you want to have a few drinks at night because those are some hairy roads to drive on at night! However, you would never know the place was there because it was far enough from the house that you can't see or hear it - but you can walk to it.

It was ideal. You could get to pretty much any beach on the island in less than 20 minutes. L'Orient and St. Jean were less than ten from the house. I would stay here again and again!

This little hideaway was beautiful, and the service from the rental agency was terrific. They personally delivered an electric converter to us when ours failed to work.

We got maid service and fresh linens daily. The kitchen was great for eating breakfast at home with a view of the sea, and the porch offered direct access to both the beach as well as privacy.

We were very, very, very happy with this choice.

La Baleine Villa, St. Barts traveler review

This is Utopia. Visited: June 2006

La Baleine is the epitome of luxury and privacy. This is the perfect property for large families - or for couples traveling together.

There are three separate "cases" which allow everyone their privacy. This property has the best view on the island, with stunning sunset views and views of Saba and St. Kitts.

Also, Rosita is the perfect host and is the unofficial ambassadoress of the island. This is a perfect "ten"!

We stayed a week at Sud Quest. It is in a perfect location, and ideal for a couple. It is very private and well maintained.

I wish the pool was heated - or at least a hot tub be made available. Ernest is a great host, and takes pride in his villa.

It was better than the pictures indicated. Visited: April 2006

My husband and I, and our three children stayed at this villa in April 2006. It had it all!

The views and sunsets from the patio were the best you will find on the island. I couldn't wait to wake up every morning. It had all the amenities we could want - plus we had our privacy. It was also very well maintained, and the villa manager was very helpful with any questions or requests.
