Old San Juan is the best thing about San Juan. It is a combination of New Orleans French Quarter (with more shopping)and Old European Villages (Spain or Italy). There plenty of shops with local artists' works on display, bars and restaurants of all kinds (sushi to Italian), tourist shops, historical sites, and statues. We traveled there at least once a day, due to how gorgeous and pleasant it was when we were there. Lots of walking. Comfortable shoes are a must. (close)
Travel to the northeastern mountains, home of the 28,000 acre Caribbean National Forest. Refered to as "El Yunque", it has the highest visitation of any natural site in Puerto Rico. When you see it, you'll easily understand why. This is an incredible tour!!!
