A Negril Area travel review
We had a great time.
Posted by robolord
We had our children with us - ages 16, 12, and 6. At first, we were a little intimidated by Jamaica, and wondered why we brought our children. However, by the end of the week, we had fallen in love with the beautiful surroundings and warm Caribbean waters.
These were very nice accommodations. They had great staff, and great food. If you want to see the best sunsets in Jamaica, stay at the Beach House Villas.

We had a nice family reunion at Hibiscus.

We had our reunion at Hibiscus. I stayed here with my children, and it was a very enjoyable time.
I have no bad comments to make. The rooms were nice, and the staff was very welcoming and pleasant.
I would definitely stop here again.

A Jamaica travel review
This was a great place to stay!

I just got back from my travel to the island of Jamaica.
I was supposed to stay at the Sunset Beach Resort in Montego Bay, but due to renovations being done my party and I were sent to Sunset Jamiaca Grand in Ocho Rios. Of course, it was a lot further from the airport than Montego Bay - but it was so worth it.
The resort had a wonderful airy lobby area that overlooked the many pools on the grounds. The pools were magnificent and never really packed because there were so many.
The beach was also beautiful with a variety of floatations and other free activities that we enjoyed. The resort was only 15 minutes from Dunn's River Falls, and there was even a short shopping strip right outside of the resort to buy souvenirs - and it was safe, which I never believed possible in Jamaica.
Every night, the food was fresh and delicious. There were like five restaurants including the main dining area, where we ate the majority of our stay.
The only problem was the availability of the three restaurants that needed reservations. They allow you to book for every night of your stay when you arrive it seems, so we were only able to get into the Chinese restaurant because the Italian and Caribbean ones were booked tight. That didn't seem fair.
Overall, though, this was a wonderful resort. There was lots to do, drink, eat and enjoy. If I return to Ocho Rios, I will definitely stay here again.

A Negril Area travel review
I definitely plan on bringing another group when we return.

I am a travel agent and have traveled to Jamaica going on ten years. I've stayed from the luxury to rustic, and have stayed at various spots in Negril.
CocoLaPalm proved to be one of the better private resorts. I would reccommend this hotel for the price, the atmosphere and the food. In addition, housekeeping was wonderful.
